Israeli or Mediterranean Sambusak Recipe

My mother used to make sambusak all the time.

Here is a good recipe.

For the Dough:

  • 1 1/2 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup water (Warm)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
How to make the dough:
Dissolve the yeast in the water until foamy.

If you want to make it with sugar add about 1 Tbsp of sugar instead (or more to taste).

Whole Wheat Pasta Salad with Feta Recipe

 Ingredients

  1. 1/2 lb. Whole Wheat Penna Pasta, I highly recommend this.
  2. 1 cup of broccoli florets.
  3. 4 tsp red wine vinegar.
  4. 1 tsp Dijon mustered.
  5. 1 tsp honey
  6. 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil.
  7. 1/3-1/2 cup peas.
  8. 1/4-1/2 tsp red crushed pepper.

I went to a restaurant call Taste of Europe in Binghamton, NY and I ordered a dish I never tried before, it was called Plov.

It was so great, I decided to find out if I could recreate it.  I searched all over the internet and I tweaked a few recipes to get to this result.

New York Cheesecake Recipe

I learned a few things in my cheesecake baking adventure, cheesecake is tricky.  I mean, you could whip up one and it will be ok, but if you want one that is not cracked, has a nice texture and oh so yummy, TRICKY.  So i’m going to share with you what I learned.

Goulash Recipe

Ingredients:

Olive oil
3 onions, sliced (Medium size)
2 tablespoons sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp curry
3 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes

Cauliflower Soup (With Curry Paste) Recipe

Ingredients:

1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
1 onion, cut into chunks
3-4 cloves garlic, halved
4-5 cups vegetable stock, depending on how thick you like your soup  (You can use 1 qt of water and 4 table spoons of Osem Vegetable Consomme).
