What happens is that this process is responsible to scanning both the internal and external storage for media, \u00a0now unfortunatly it’s not the best piece of software.<\/p>\n

To fix the issue, depending on your android version you have, go to the apps \u00a0management \u00a0section and look for Media Storage. \u00a0Force Stop it and Clear Data. \u00a0Reboot.<\/p>\n

Now it will \u00a0re-scan \u00a0and regenerate the database. \u00a0(It will have high cpu usage for that period of time (a few minutes depending on how big your storage is)<\/p>\n

\nMy mouse would \u00a0intermittently \u00a0stop scrolling on the side of the browser, usually \u00a0where there is no text, to get it to work I would have to move the cursor somewhere in the middle and scroll. \u00a0It really annoyed and \u00a0baffled \u00a0me. \u00a0At first I thought it was the driver which may \u00a0have been updated by \u00a0Microsoft, \u00a0 but I was able to eliminate that as a \u00a0reason \u00a0because it started happening on other computers I use and even on a touchpad.<\/p>\n

The solution:<\/p>\n

Turns out that the Facebook messenger application was the culprit and once you shut it off \u00a0scrolling works again with no problems. \u00a0needless to say I uninstalled it.<\/p>\n
