What happens is that this process is responsible to scanning both the internal and external storage for media,  now unfortunatly it’s not the best piece of software.

To fix the issue, depending on your android version you have, go to the apps  management  section and look for Media Storage.  Force Stop it and Clear Data.  Reboot.

Now it will  re-scan  and regenerate the database.  (It will have high cpu usage for that period of time (a few minutes depending on how big your storage is)

Please post a comment below if this helped or didn’t help you.

Cheers!

My mouse would  intermittently  stop scrolling on the side of the browser, usually  where there is no text, to get it to work I would have to move the cursor somewhere in the middle and scroll.  It really annoyed and  baffled  me.  At first I thought it was the driver which may  have been updated by  Microsoft,   but I was able to eliminate that as a  reason  because it started happening on other computers I use and even on a touchpad.

The solution:

Turns out that the Facebook messenger application was the culprit and once you shut it off  scrolling works again with no problems.  needless to say I uninstalled it.

If this tip helped you please consider leaving a nice note in the comment section.
